I had a thought while checking my Twitter feed that someday, some advertiser is going to look at Twitter and realize that there could be good money in advertising on twitter, on both reviewed posts and maybe interspersed ads in between tweets. And no, I’m not talking about Twitter Spam. I’m talking about genuine ads.

Twitter’s getting more and more popular with each passing day. Right now, it can barely hold, with the fact that IM went down, and that I frequently get the “Too many tweets” error way too many times. So, I propose this solution: Advertisements.

Doing this guarantees that Twitter can make money selling…I guess it could be Tweetspace on people’s feeds, and in return, they get some money, which can then be used to get more servers to feed more hungry Twitter people.

And they could be tweaked based on what an individual tweets, similar to Gmail advertisements. Maybe Google can help, or maybe Twitter can come up with something on its own. No matter what, Twitter needs something, and this is a lot better then making people pay to use it.
