Seems like Twitter’s starting to take off. It’s even wondered if Twitter is better then email!I just recently started actively taking on people to follow, who in turn have been following me (for the most part.) I certainly hope that Myspace and Facebook do something to natively add Twitter to their stuff. (Facebook has a Twitter application, but it’s not native)

However, as a new phenomenon inflates, it tends to bring problems in as well. We are now starting to see people create accounts just to ship off spam to people to advertise. Recently, one particular account followed me, and when I checked it, I noticed Tweets that looked a bit suspicious, so I googled them…

Turned out that EVERY TWEET the moron had was a quote ripped off from someone else!

And now we’re starting to see Twitter wars, and it won’t be long before we see people texting flames to each other for all the world to see.

As bad as it sounds, it’s actually a good thing.

See, these are signs of growth, as bad as it is. Not to advocate spam or anything, but look at email. When nobody knew about it, it was nothing. Then when spam came along, those spammers knew that email was the next new thing…and then they did it with Meatspace, and now with Twitter.

As a place expands, there’s bound to be a few idiots mucking things up, but take into consideration the fact that now Twitter is about to become mainstream. It’s clear that Twitter is becoming a new obsession.
