I have a bit of a break before I have to go back to paper writing. I should say that I did pass my first semester of grad school…barely….and with a lot of intervention, but then again, so did half our class. Yeah, the program’s that tough.

Anyway, I’m writing this because I think I found a way to get back into blogging earlier then Summer: I’m writing an paper on the blogging culture, which conveniently is what I used to cover before grad school!

Anyway, I plan on sending out a few emails to some choice bloggers, but if you wish to volunteer for this project, please send me an email or comment on the entry (Leave your email.) In return, I’ll give you a linkback not only on the site but on the paper I write (I do intend to send this to conferences/journals)

The Project

The project I’m doing is this: I’m planning on writing an ethnography (Read: examination of a culture)  on the culture that the blogosphere has become. My goal in this is to answer a good deal of questions. I know at least two questions I plan to answer:

1. Why do people blog

2. Why are blogs gaining popularity over traditional media

3. How do the ways bloggers interact with their readers affect their blogs, and vice versa?

4. Do biases play a role in this?

If you wish to participate, shoot me an email.

If you like my stylings and writings, maybe buying me some creative juices will make better stylings and writings! (Suggested Donation: $4)
