Lately, I’ve been looking into the concept of making extra income using internet sources, and I’ve found several blogs that talk about making money on teh net. Many of them offer different styles, different methods, different everything. However, what I seem to notice is that there’s no set concept for a “Make Money Online” blog. It gives me this question: What does it take to be a Make Money Online blog. Here are my thoughts:

1. Do not post anything that isn’t legit

Any MMO blog that deals with spam-based ways to make money is a complete no-no for me. For that matter, anything that sounds suspicious shouldn’t be on the blog. So basically, anything like the following shouldn’t appear:

  • Money ways that grossly invade privacy
  • Pyramid Schemes
  • Ways to make income that require an upfront payment
  • Anything involving someone in Nigeria that has a ton of money
  • When in doubt, don’t post it!

2. Do not rely on one particular income method

So many people say that the best way to make money is using advertising with people such as AdSense, Chitika, AuctionAds, etc. There’s more then one way to skin a blog about cats, and there’s more then one way to make extra cash. Not just using ads, but things like

  • Guest blogging
  • SEO Consulting
  • Editing
  • Theme creation
  • And anything you can come up with.

3. Find unique ways to make money on-line.

Come on, go away from the typical stuff! Find the stuff that’s so new that it’s brand new at advertising, and look for ways that are completely bizarre. Again, if it looks suspicious, don’t go for it, but if you like it, what have you got to lose? Getting the extra cool stuff will only make you look more awesome in your quest to win the “Make Money Online” keyword.

Right now, I’m asking various experts and major figures on the blogosphere what they believe it takes to have a good make money online blog. With luck, I will report back with what they say.
