Three people I know (Two I know offline) have expressed so much undying love for Harry Potter that they have gone out and waited outside various bookstores until Midnight to buy the bloody book. I’m sure there’s more out there.
I honestly have no clue why people love this book series so much. If the end of the world as we know it was to occur at this point in time, 30 years later the most powerful religion in the world could possibly be the worship of Harry Potter, and Voldemort as Satan.
Harry Potter would literally be…bigger then Jesus.
Ok, hypotheticals aside, I can’t pinpoint how, but the PR for HP is fucking awesome. Any blogger would kill to have that on his/her side. I found a list of spoilers on Youtube for HP, but I honestly don’t care.
I’ll probably end up buying the book, simply for curiosity. But I’m the kind of guy who likes to read the end first. I learned that Dumbledore died before I learned about The Half-Blood Prince’s potions, and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way….it actually was sorta awesome reading about Dumbledore dying, then learning the events leading up to his death. Maybe it should have been written like that. I always liked reading books that were like an envelope (You see the outside, or end result first, then open it from the inside.)
Whatever, though. Anyone have an idea on why HP is so damn popular? Write all theories in the comments, just for convenience.
