Lately, I’ve been trying this weird idea out. I basically think of a problem or dilemma that I’m experiencing, then I write down the problem, and everything I’ve experienced regarding the problem. I’m fairly certain this isn’t a new idea, but I’ve adapted it into helping someone solve their situations.
I call it Self-Writing. Basically, you take a piece of paper (Or in my case, a text file with Notepad,) and you ask youself a question, such as “How can I get more revenue?” or “What’s wrong with my blogging style?” Or any question of the sort. After that, you record everything you say in your mind regarding the question. At first, it will seem vague, but as you continue to write your thoughts, you’ll eventually get an answer!
Self-Writing can also be coupled with PTER, for typing down your statements. You can then document each statement with a date, and put it away in a binder for review. It’s also good for figuring out what you want to make a statement about. You could write “Who did a good thing for me today?” or “What good things happened to me today?”
You could also arguable use it to figure out what you want to blog about! All you need to do is ask. It’s kinda like a Magic 8-Ball, only your sources say what you want them to say!
