In the real world, one of the biggest problems most people seem to have with me as of late is this inherent negativity that I seem to possess. I won’t lie to you, I’m not exactly a big believer of the good of humanity, but that won’t get you very far. My English teacher said it best: “Nobody wants a whiner!”

So, what does this mean for you, O blogger? Well, If you’re a person who’s incredibly negative on your blog, all you’ll get is negative results. Nobody wants to see an overly cynical person. As Vishal writes:

In today’s hectic and competitive world, there is so much negativity floating around that it is easy to get taken in by it. Pessimistic attitudes lead to chronic depressions and a negative mind is actually a magnet for ailments and sadness. We often complain about what we do not have and take for granted what has been provided to us.

It also spreads to your blog. Your blog being an extension of you, it will also represent you in your current condition. If you’re negative, then your blog will be negative. If all you have to offer is negativity and bitterness, then you will recieve only negativity and bitterness (And ignore the positivity you get in the process.)

See, it all has to do with What’s known as The Law of Attraction. The Law of Attraction, according to Personal Development Blogger Steve Pavlina, is the idea that ”you attract into your life whatever you think about.” This is a concept that Numerous People have blogged about, but few really understand how it applies to you.

Actually, it’s amazing, just searching for “Positive Thinking” on Technorati. ONLY TWO BLOGS have any degree of authority on this thing. Slightly more for “Law of Attraction.” Kinda goes to show how many people really demonstrate this.

I’m not saying you should be a Smiley Susan/Steve (Not a razz on Pavlina,) but do try to remember that your blog will bring you what you bring to the blog. If you write overly cynical entries into your blog, try writing about something good once in awhile. At the very least, try not being so negative and be more neutral about the events in your life.

Jesus had a point. All it takes is a small mustard seed of positivity, and it might just help you, and your blog, grow into better things. Oh, and don’t think I’m some preacher to this. This is something I have to realize as well, but you know what? So long as we have other people around us, be they bloggers or people we know in the real world, who believe in the positive, we all can improve.
